Job Title – Fusion Engineer (Neutronics)
Their Purpose – To to bridge the gap between scientific breakthroughs and commercial reality by delivering the engineering backbone of fusion power. They aim to make fusion a practical, scalable, and clean energy solution through component development, integrated testing, and global collaboration.
 
Location &, flexibility – Culham - hybrid work (x2 days a week)
Salary & Benefits – Up to £75k + benefits
 
About you:
- 
	
Master's degree or higher in a related science/engineering discipline, with a focus on nuclear engineering or a closely related field - required.
 - 
	
Understanding of nuclear physics, e.g., neutron cross sections, particle attenuation, material damage (NRT, ARC, …), transmutations, radiation types – required.
 - 
	
Understanding of fusion materials and components, and their behaviour in the context of nuclear environments - required.
 - 
	
High proficiency with Monte Carlo neutronics software, and demonstrable proficiency with OpenMC and MCNP/PHITS. Ability to produce cross section tables and chain files – required.
