About the Job –
- Contribute to engineering projects focused on advanced energy technologies, including mechanical design and modelling.
- Develop technology for complex systems, producing 2D and 3D CAD models and supporting structural and mechanical design activities.
- Carry out thermo?hydraulics and thermo?mechanical analyses using relevant codes and standards, with experience in tools such as COMSOL considered advantageous.
- Support safety?related activities including functional analysis, PIRT, FMEA/FMECA and RAMI assessments.
- Create and maintain engineering tools in Python or MATLAB to support analysis and design work.
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline (e.g., mechanical, nuclear, chemical).
- Strong analytical and problem?solving skills, able to work on multidisciplinary challenges with no obvious solutions.
- Experienced in mechanical design, CAD modelling, process modelling and simulation, including multiphysics methods.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
- Experience in techno?economic assessment and understanding of materials used in advanced technology environments (desirable).
