About the Job:
As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a dedicated Site Manager to oversee on-site delivery of commercial Solar PV and Battery Storage projects across the UK. You will be responsible for ensuring all installations are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality - leading site teams, managing subcontractors, and driving operational excellence on every project.
- Take responsibility for day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
- Lead and supervise installation teams, subcontractors, and site personnel.
- Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
- Oversee quality control, ensuring all work meets engineering drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
- Manage site logistics, materials, deliveries, and workforce scheduling to maintain project progress.
- Conduct daily site briefings, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, engineering team, and clients to maintain clear communication and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation, including RAMS and daily progress updates.
- Support commissioning activities and ensure smooth project handover to clients.
About you:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Site Management or Site Supervisor role within renewable energy, electrical, or construction sectors.
- Proven experience overseeing Solar PV or Battery Storage projects preferred.
- Excellent understanding of on-site Health & Safety requirements and CDM Regulations.
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification essential; First Aid and manual handling qualifications desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Clear communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Electrical or construction background (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) advantageous.
- Valid UK driving licence and flexibility to travel and stay away as required.
