Location &, flexibility – Oxford- Full time on site with occasional remote working
Salary & Benefits – £35,000 – £45,000 Depending on experience.
About the Job –
- You will be involved in the design and set up of a brand-new lab, once up and running you will take lead on the operations, management and maintenance of the new lab facility.
- You will develop, implement and maintain processes, operating procedures, work instructions, risk assessments, QA/QC processes for all testing, analytical instruments and activities.
- You will develop a database for process chemistry based on analytical testing and results to advise on process changes/developments.
About you –
- BSc, MSc degree or PhD in Chemistry or related science subject.
- Experience working in an analytical lab environment using, setting-up and maintaining equipment and instruments such as TGA, GC, GC-MS, GC-FID, column chromatography and bomb calorimetry etc.
- Knowledge of testing standards and relevant regulatory requirements (especially HSE requirements) for setting up and operating labs which handle waste and hydrocarbons.
