About the Job:
As an experienced Jointing Supervisor, you will lead and manage jointing teams delivering high-quality power infrastructure works.. You’ll be the technical expert on site - ensuring all cable laying, jointing, civils, surveying and associated activities are completed safely, compliantly and right first time.
- You’ll take responsibility for the full lifecycle of each workstream: coordinating delivery from receipt through to job completion, ensuring programmes remain on track and performance KPIs are achieved.
- Working closely with scheduling, internal stakeholders, and external customers, you’ll ensure smooth communication, accurate reporting and operational excellence - supporting database updates and producing As-Built drawings.
- Coordinate and manage jointing team activities from allocation to completion
- Supervise surveying, pre-siting, civils installation, chamber/cabinet construction, link boxes & customer connections
- Oversee all LV/HV cable laying and jointing operations
- Ensure compliance with all client, regulatory and operational standards
- Provide daily/weekly performance reports and drive KPI delivery
- Proactively identify improvements, support team development and embrace change
- Report safety concerns in line with company procedures and maintain safe working environments
- You’ll promote a positive culture, champion safety, and provide solutions to keep jobs moving forward efficiently.
About you:
- Relevant trade or technical qualifications aligned with electrical network operations
- DNO Jointing Qualification or proven cable jointing experience
- Strong operational background in the electricity supply industry
- Excellent communicator with solid commercial awareness
- Confident decision-maker able to engineer solutions on site
- Full UK Driving Licence
