Job Title –  Commercial Solar Sales Director   
Their Purpose – A private equity backed, rapidly growing and people focused business who specialise in the delivery of commercial solar PV across the UK & Ireland. With a turnover of £35m and multiple hubs nationwide, they are quickly becoming one of the UK’s leading Solar providers.
Location &, flexibility – Remote with occasional travel to head office.

Salary & Benefits – Up to £100k base salary with uncapped OTE, Company vehicle, Pension Scheme, Equity shares.
About the Job:

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will hold a crucial role within the business to drive growth in the commercial solar market. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales leadership with a deep understanding of the solar industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, ensuring the achievement of sales target as well as developing a strong sales team below them.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures and strategic alliances whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with key commercial clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solar solutions specifically within commercial solar for rooftop and ground mount projects.
  • Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation to close, ensuring a seamless and efficient customer experience whilst developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies to achieve organisational goals and revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-preforming sales team, fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, having a hand in marketing and liaising with internal department to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
About you:
  • A proven track record and demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a deep understanding of the commercial solar market.
  • Solid understanding of solar technology, commercial solar solutions, and industry regulations.
  • At least 3-5 years experience within a leadership role within the solar or renewable energy industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team whilst collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders.
