Job Title – Business Development Manager (Newbuild Solar & Insulation) – South England     
 
Their Purpose – A private equity backed, rapidly growing and people focused business who specialise in the delivery of newbuild and commercial solar PV across the UK & Ireland. With a turnover of £50m and multiple hubs nationwide, they are quickly becoming one of the UK’s leading Solar providers.
 
Location &, flexibility – Remote with occasional travel to housebuilder client sites and HQ in Leicester.

Salary – Competitive base salary DOE + uncapped commission, Company vehicle/Allowance, Private medical insurance
 
About the Job:
As a business development manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the company growth in the newbuild housing sector, focusing on solar PV and insulation solutions. You’ll lead on identifying, securing and growing long-term partnerships with major housebuilders, developers and construction firms, supporting them in meeting sustainability targets and regulatory requirements.
 
  • Identify and target new business opportunities with national and regional housebuilders within Southern England.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (Directors, Sustainability Leads, Commercial Managers, etc.)
  • Promote integrated solar PV and insulation solutions tailored to each development
  • Develop and deliver compelling commercial proposals, bids, and presentations
  • Stay informed of market developments, building regulations (e.g., Part L), and sustainability trends impacting newbuild
  • Work closely with internal design, operations, and project teams to ensure client expectations are met
  • Attend industry events, site visits, and pre-construction meetings as the commercial face of the business

About you:
 
  • Proven experience in B2B sales or business development within construction, renewables or insulation sectors.
  • Strong understanding of newbuild housing market and sustainability drivers (net zero targets, part L)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
