An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Manager to join a rapidly growing electrical engineering company which designs, manufactures and tests high-voltage substation protection and control equipment.

The role primarily involves the overall management of the Supply Chain department & the overall responsibility for all Supply Chain processes including liaising with suppliers & internal departments.

The ideal candidate would be someone with good attention to detail who enjoys & thrives in the management of a small team.

Competence in the use of Purchasing & Stock Control systems, alongside Microsoft 365 & database management would be advantageous, in addition to being comfortable in dealing with external stakeholders.


Overall responsibility for, but not limited to:
 
  • Management of the Supply Chain Department & its activities
  • Oversee the timely delivery of all required goods and services
  • Provide a backstop to the Supply Chain Department for expediting suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts/discounts with suppliers
  • Ensure the Production Department are provided with all required materials
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide up to date information
  • Continually review & improve Supply Chain processes
  • Seek to reduce stockholding wherever possible
  • Ensure accurate stock data at all times
  • Continually reduce ordering frequency
