The role primarily involves the overall management of the Supply Chain department & the overall responsibility for all Supply Chain processes including liaising with suppliers & internal departments.
The ideal candidate would be someone with good attention to detail who enjoys & thrives in the management of a small team.
Competence in the use of Purchasing & Stock Control systems, alongside Microsoft 365 & database management would be advantageous, in addition to being comfortable in dealing with external stakeholders.
Overall responsibility for, but not limited to:
- Management of the Supply Chain Department & its activities
- Oversee the timely delivery of all required goods and services
- Provide a backstop to the Supply Chain Department for expediting suppliers
- Negotiate contracts/discounts with suppliers
- Ensure the Production Department are provided with all required materials
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide up to date information
- Continually review & improve Supply Chain processes
- Seek to reduce stockholding wherever possible
- Ensure accurate stock data at all times
- Continually reduce ordering frequency
