Job Title –  Solar Site Manager  
 
Their Purpose – A European leader operating on a global scale to develop, design, construct, manage and operate large scale solar projects to support the global drive towards net zero. With a head office based in the UK, they operate on an internation scale to provide affordable solutions to meet their clients clean energy power demands.  
 
Location &, flexibility – Site Office based with nationwide travel.

About the Job:

Reporting to the Head of EPC you will be responsible for managing and supporting renewable energy projects during construction phase. You will be responsible for the management of sub-contractors and supplier ensuring they work safely, efficiently and inline with project programmes. Working closely with the project manager who will lead the project, provide day to day management and offer guidance.
 
  • The key focus will be on management of Health and Safety which will consist of checking RAMS are suitable for tasks, ensuring they are adhered to, issuing permits for relevant high risk tasks and generally managing welfare.
  • Responsible for management and leadership of onsite issues as well as health and safety.
  • Ensure the welfare facilities are constantly operations and in line with CDM requirements.
  • Assist the project manager with quality assurance and control of the onsite build process.
  • Checking deliveries are correct, liaising with and managing subcontractors and suppliers.  
About you:
 
  • Experience within Solar with good organisational/project management skills with a good understanding of the key commercial aspects of solar PV projects.
  • Experience within a construction environment.
  • Good working knowledge of CDM requirements and MS Office packages.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills enabling you to build, lead and influence health and safety behaviours onsite.
  • SMSTS Certified.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home.
  • Full UK Driving licence
