Carbogenics is a rapidly growing start-up company in the cleantech sector. Our flagship product CreChar® enhances anaerobic digestion, removes odours and pollutants from wastewater and can be used as plant fertiliser, for soil amendment and for carbon sequestration.
The company is looking for a talented hard working marketing professional trying to get into the sustainability sector. You will use your drive, skills, knowledge and experience to support the company in the marketing and sales of our sustainable bio-additive CreChar® which displaces Fossil fuel gas with sustainable biogas. We are a small, innovative, growing company and the position will require you to work with staff, partners and stakeholders at all levels and take a proactive ‘can-do’ approach managing and shaping our traditional, online and social media activities.

Job Description:

To achieve this, you will work closely with a small and dedicated start-up team in a key sector of the circular economy. You will play a key role in developing and shaping the marketing and communication activity of Carbogenics, becoming a key actor in the growth and success of the company. At the same time, you will be able to expand your skills and knowledge to meet future cleantech opportunities.

Company Details:
Carbogenics is a cleantech company aiming to play a key role in a resource-efficient and circular economy in Scotland, the UK and globally. Our pyrolysis-based technology converts carbon-rich wastes into additives for bioprocess intensification such as anaerobic digestion and bioremediation, and enables co-production of heat, power and biochemicals. We work with waste management companies, partners in the wastewater and anaerobic digestion industry and a team of business advisors to accelerate commercialisation of our carbon products.

Key responsibilities:
• Create for approval a marketing and communications action plan for Carbogenics
• Manage and keep updated the company website pro-actively to drive and
represent the activities and goals of Carbogenics
• Manage and gather stories from staff for social media (Linked-in and Twitter) proactively
to drive and represent the activities and goals of Carbogenics
• Create marketing and communication materials including presentations and
training materials for the BDD and Sales team to enable the effective
communication of our products
• Manage and enhance our brand, brand collateral to ensure consistency of
communication
• Provide administrative support for the Executive and core team including
arranging travel and ordering as required
• Maintain the Carbogenics diary

Qualifications and Experience:
• Relevant degree or appropriate experience
• At least one years of experience (ideally 3+) working in an SME / Enterprise
ideally within the sustainability sector in a similar role
• Some project management experience
• IT literate with strong grasp of MS Office suite and ideally presentation and
graphics packages- ideal candidate could provide basic IT support for staff
• Strong working knowledge of web and social media with skills to edit, input and
adapt
• Ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems.
• Excellent planning and organisation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and ability to
communicate complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
• Ability to assess resource requirements and use limited resources effectively.
• Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality.
