About the Job –
As an EHV Estimator, you will be part of a fast-paced commercial team responsible for preparing tenders and quotations for electrical infrastructure projects ranging from 33kV to 132KV.
- You will be responsible for estimating new connection works and turnkey solutions using internal resources and supply chain partners.
- Manage and support key accounts, including client meetings, top-level reviews, and tender interviews
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to develop partnerships and support commercial bids
- Attend site surveys and route walks as part of the tendering process
- Conduct take-offs from drawings and schedules; input data into estimating systems (e.g. SimPro)
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for compliance and accuracy
- Draft technical clarifications, exclusions, and project assumptions for tender documentation
- Follow company procedures for enquiry handling and tender submission
- Support the development and optimisation of internal processes within the estimating and commercial team
- Proven experience estimating projects between 33kV and 132kV within the electrical distribution sector.
- Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of renewables, large infrastructure, and off-site HV works as well as experience with consultancy bids and strategic supplier partnerships.
- Strong commercial understanding and stakeholder communication skills
- Skilled in producing accurate, high-quality tenders and documentation
- Confident working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Able to manage sensitive business and commercial information professionally
- Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Desire to support, mentor, and train others as the team expands
- A level-equivalent in literacy, numeracy, and technology
- Full UK Driving licence (Maximum of 3 points).
