About the Job:
As the Senior Origination & Negotiation Manager, you will play a central role in identifying, securing, and negotiating new locations for rapid and high-power EV charging infrastructure across the UK. You will be responsible for driving the origination pipeline, establishing strong relationships with landlords and agents, and structuring commercially attractive agreements that support long-term business growth.
- Sourcing, evaluating, and securing prime roadside locations suitable for high-power EV charging, including MSAs, A-roads, retail parks, forecourts, and commercial estates.
- Building and managing a strong nationwide pipeline of development opportunities aligned with business strategy and growth targets.
- Conducting initial feasibility assessments, collaborating with Grid, Planning, and Development teams to understand deliverability, constraints, and commercial viability.
- Leading negotiations for new site agreements, including leases, commercial terms, and strategic partnerships.
- Preparing and agreeing Heads of Terms and ensuring all documentation aligns with internal technical, legal, and commercial requirements.
- Managing relationships with landowners, landlords, developers, agents, local authorities, and third-party stakeholders.
- Presenting opportunities and commercial recommendations to internal teams and senior leadership.
- Supporting cross-functional teams through the acquisition-to-delivery lifecycle, ensuring smooth handover of secured sites into development.
- Tracking, forecasting, and reporting pipeline activity, progress, risks, and commercial performance.
- Representing the organisation at external meetings, industry events, conferences, and site visits across the UK.
About you:
- Background in property management, acquisitions, or estates, ideally within roadside, retail, commercial, or service-station environments.
- Proven experience identifying, acquiring, and negotiating property or site agreements in a commercially driven setting.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence landlords, agents, developers, and senior stakeholders.
- Commercially astute, confident negotiating complex terms, and experienced preparing and agreeing Heads of Terms.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a national portfolio of prospects and a fast-moving pipeline.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present opportunities and commercial recommendations clearly.
- Comfortable with nationwide travel, site visits, and external stakeholder engagement.
- EV charging, energy, or infrastructure experience is advantageous.
- Understanding of planning, grid constraints, commercial property law, or development feasibility is beneficial.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to secure high-quality opportunities in a competitive and rapidly expanding market.
