Job Title – Senior Battery Design Engineer

Their Purpose – A pioneering technology company developing advanced materials and battery systems that enable next-generation superfast charging solutions.

Location & flexibility – Cambridgeshire (4 days a week onsite)

Salary & Benefits – £50k - £65k + benefits

About the Job –
  • Lead design and development of HV and LV battery systems using advanced cell technology
  • Decompose system requirements into sub-system and component level specifications
  • Develop verification, validation, and certification strategies for battery systems
  • Support assembly and testing activities on-site and with third parties
  • Collaborate with mechanical, CAD, and simulation teams to deliver high-quality battery systems
About you –
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • 3–5 years’ experience in battery product design and delivery
  • Strong knowledge of battery pack design, safety, and system engineering principles
  • Hands-on prototyping and mechanical integration experience
  • Familiarity with FMEA and CAD tools (SolidWorks beneficial)
  • Self-driven, practical, and effective communicator with a commitment to quality and safety
