Job Title – Technical Content Writer
Location & flexibility - South Cambridge - hybrid (3-4 days onsite)
Salary - £35,000 + benefits including: Stock options, Private Medical, 27 days + BH, Enhanced pension contribution, Life assurance, Income protection.
About the Job –
The successful candidate will be able to take data, knowledge and insight from across our R&D and technical teams and craft that into engaging content for customers. This will require being able to write for various formats – white papers, LinkedIn posts, technical updates, our website etc.
This is a challenging role as you will often be required to organise colleagues to supply you with what you need to write pieces, to work relatively unsupervised to agreed deadlines and to establish a ‘house’ style and approach to content that will sustain into the future.
You will be interested in science and technical innovation, and have a proactive mindset with great attention to detail and will be able to craft engaging stories and content from sometimes limited information. You must be comfortable engaging with the whole team, their external agencies and increasingly with their suppliers and customers.
About you -
- Degree level, ideally in a related science/engineering/tech discipline.
- Be able to demonstrate a track record of writing and content creation, ideally in a similar in-house role.
- Being able to show the development of pieces from idea to publication.
- To have experience of working in a science/tech-based environment.
- To have experience of both short and long form writing, with the ability to proofread and format your own work.
- The ability to write and communicate effectively.
- Appropriate skills for using Microsoft Office packages.
