Job Title – Solar O&M Engineer     
Their Purpose – A leading renewable energy business delivering nationwide Solar PV solutions across residential and commercial projects. The business is currently in a strong period of growth and expansion and is looking to strengthen its operations & maintenance team to support a growing portfolio of Solar PV installations across the UK.
Location &, flexibility – Field Based – South West with occasional travel to company office in the office   
 
Salary & Benefits – Up to 55k base salary DOE, Bonus Scheme, Pension Scheme, vehicle and fuel card provided
 
About the Job –
This role will focus on planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across a nationwide portfolio of residential and commercial Solar PV systems.
The successful candidate will attend sites to ensure systems remain operational, safe and performing efficiently, whilst supporting fault finding, inspections, repairs and technical reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out inspections, maintenance and repairs on Solar PV and electrical systems
  • Diagnosing faults across AC/DC Solar PV systems and carrying out rectification works
  • Working on both residential and commercial installations nationwide
  • Interpreting site plans, layout drawings, RAMS and technical documentation
  • Inspecting and working on roof-mounted Solar PV systems safely
  • Supporting wider engineering and installation teams when required
  • Leading works on site and coordinating additional labour when necessary
  • Ensuring safety, quality and project timelines are maintained
  • Producing technical reports and maintenance recommendations following site visits
  • Working closely with Service Delivery teams, Project Managers and stakeholders to meet contractual requirements
About you -
  • Solar PV fault finding and maintenance experience
  • Strong AC/DC electrical knowledge
  • Comfortable working at height and on roof-mounted systems
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2368 in Electrical Installation
  • BS7671 18th Edition Amendment 2
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing
  • ECS/CSCS Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proactive, reliable and team-oriented approach
  • Wider renewable energy technology exposure desirable
