About the Job:
Reporting to the Head of EPC, you will support the delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects throughout both the construction and operational phases. Working closely with the Site and Project Managers, you will oversee subcontractors, ensure works are completed safely and efficiently, and help maintain programme delivery across multiple projects nationwide.
This role is predominantly site-based and will involve regular travel and working away from home. It also offers the opportunity to support multiple live projects, providing cover where required and ensuring consistent operational standards across the business.
- Support the supervision and day-to-day management of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects.
- Assist with the coordination and management of subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with project programmes.
- Support the implementation and promotion of Health & Safety standards across site activities.
- Work closely with the Site and Project Managers to coordinate project scope, programme and operational requirements.
- Ensure welfare facilities remain operational and compliant with CDM requirements.
- Identify and help resolve on-site operational issues to minimise delays and maintain project quality.
- Provide operational support across multiple projects, including cover during annual leave and periods of increased workload.
- Complete minor site works where appropriate, with larger activities delivered through the approved supply chain.
- Previous experience within the Solar PV, BESS or wider construction industry.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work proactively and independently.
- Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating site activities.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- SSSTS certification is desirable (training available for the right candidate).
- First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel nationwide and work away from home as required.
