Job Title – Service Technician (South Australia)

Location & Flexibility – South Australia ( Adelaide, Murray Bridge and Port Pirie) – Travel required up to 50%

Salary & Benefits – Up to $100k AUD +15% target bonus, 20 days paid leave + 10 days of personal leave, $80 AUD per month for cell phone, Learning and development career opportunities.

About the Job:
As the Service Technician, you will be responsible for commissioning and completing preventative and corrective maintenance of Battery Energy Storage Systems. You will handle obligations under long term service agreements (LTSA’s) for BESS projects and must be able to travel and complete tasks at various project sites.  
 
  • You’ll be responsible for commissioning and completing preventative and corrective maintenance as required to maintain BESS warranties.
  • You’ll manage LTSA obligations including the service and maintenance of Energy Storage Cabinets, Power Conversions Stations, Ring Main Units and Switchgear, Transformers and SCADA and networking devices.
  • You’ll provide diagnostic support, troubleshooting and hands-on repairs to maintain equipment performance and meet availability and capacity guarantees.
  • You’ll oversee sub-contractors on site, ensuring compliance and company standards.
  • Assist in developing standards operating procedures and processes, including accurate completion of work orders and inventory management for spare parts.

About You:
  • Certified Electrical technician
  • 5+ years’ experience in a service environment, preferably within renewable energy. Familiarity with BESS and inverters required; SCADA experience beneficial.
  • Understanding of medium voltage power systems, energy storage systems applications and knowledge of general and national codes.
  • Must hold a valid drivers license with a clean driving record and be prepared to travel regularly (50%+)
  • OSHA 30 certified (or OSHA 10 with a plan to obtain OSHA 30 after hire)
