About the Job:
As the Solar and Battery Storage division continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Senior Solar Solutions Manager to work directly alongside the Technical Director.
You will help manage projects from initial enquiry and survey through to installation, commissioning and final handover. This is a key position requiring someone who can take ownership and confidently coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
- Support the Technical Director with the daily running of the department.
- Plan and coordinate Solar PV and Battery Storage installations.
- Review surveys, designs, quotations and project requirements.
- Organise labour, materials, access equipment and subcontractors.
- Monitor project programmes, costs, margins and profitability.
- Ensure installations comply with MCS requirements, BS 7671 and company standards.
- Manage DNO applications, commissioning information and handover documentation.
- Liaise professionally with clients, consultants and suppliers.
- Attend site meetings and carry out progress inspections.
- Identify and resolve issues before they affect project delivery.
- Support the continued growth and development of the Solar division.
- Experience within Solar PV, Battery Storage or electrical project delivery.
- At least five years’ experience in solar stringing system design.
- Experience using SolarEdge, PV*SOL or Reonic platforms is preferable.
- Strong background within electrical contracting.
- Full electrical qualifications, including an ECS Gold Card or equivalent.
- Solar PV and/or EESS qualifications through C&G, BPEC, LCL or EAL.
- Knowledge of MCS processes is highly advantageous.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Commercially aware with an understanding of project costs and margins.
- Confident communicating with clients, engineers and suppliers.
- Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions.
- Full UK driving licence.
