About the Job –
As project Manager, you will be responsible for leading light-weight solar PV projects from the proposal stage through to technical design, feasibility, permitting, installation, commissioning and client handover. With a strong understanding of health and safety and exceptional project management skills, you will oversee the entire process, managing stakeholder and subcontractor relationships, project reporting, procurement, budgeting and client communications.
- You’ll be responsible for leading and managing solar PV projects from proposal through completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results as well as overseeing all project phases, including design, feasibility studies, permitting, installation, commissioning and handover.
- You’ll maintain a meticulous approach to safety across all project activities, particularly on installation at height.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including subcontractors, providing clear direction and facilitating communication as well as managing strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and providing updates through the project lifecycle.
- Maintain detailed project reports, tracking progress, milestones, budgets and risks as well as facilitate and document project kick-off meetings, updates and lesson-learned sessions.
- Conduct site visits as needed for survey and to maintain visibility of active installations.
- 5 years experience managing complex projects within he UK construction industry.
- Experience managing projects at height and implementing Health and Safety standards.
- Strong commercial acumen, including the ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders on contracts and commercial risks.
- Technical understanding of Solar PV Systems and electrical design.
- Experience with commercial solar installations.
- Health and Safety qualifications such as SMSTS certification is advantageous.
