About the Job:
As a Solar Project Manager, you will take hands-on ownership of the delivery of ground mount and commercial rooftop solar PV projects from early-stage feasibility through to construction and completion. You will play a key role in managing programme delivery, coordinating contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.
The role will involve managing a varied pipeline including large-scale rooftop installations, ground mount solar projects totalling multi-megawatt capacity, and supporting the business as it expands into emerging solar technologies.
- End-to-end project management across commercial rooftop and ground mount solar PV installations
- Leading feasibility investigations, project planning and early-stage project assessments
- Managing project budgets, job costing and financial performance tracking
- Coordinating internal teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders to ensure delivery milestones are met
- Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and maintaining strong HSE standards throughout project lifecycle
- Developing delivery programmes and overseeing construction activities on site
- Managing risks, technical challenges and programme adjustments proactively
- Supporting procurement, resource planning and contractor management
- Maintaining strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders throughout delivery phases
About you:
- Proven experience delivering commercial rooftop and/or ground mount solar PV projects
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations and site safety compliance
- Experience conducting feasibility investigations and supporting pre-construction planning
- Demonstrated job costing and project financial management experience
- Hands-on project management style with strong delivery ownership
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and site teams effectively
- Based within, or willing to commute across, the East Midlands region
- Strong organisational and communication skills with a proactive, solution-focused approach
