Purpose.
Our partner is a leading hydrogen technology company delivering projects and solutions in the low carbon, hydrogen, and renewable energy sectors.
Your Role
The primary purpose of the role is to provide all mechanical aspects of the production and testing of purpose-built hydrogen equipment within the renewable energy market.
Key Responsibilities.
- Using a wide range of hand and powered tools to perform tasks such as filing, deburring, pipe bending and mechanical assembly.
- Experience of working on pneumatic control systems, running copper pipework for cooling systems, working with pumps and hydraulic systems.
- Working with pressure relief valves, level switches and temperature sensors.
- Ensure work carried out in a safe manner in accordance with our Route Card (permit system).
- Contribute to solutions for production issues that may arise within the business as well as providing feedback to the design team through our lessons learn exercise after each project.
- Work closely with design team to ensure that the best solution is achieved for the project as well as for the customer.
- Focus on housekeeping of all work areas.
- Ensure that the H&S (Health & Safety), quality, and environmental procedures are followed.
Skills and Experience.
- Time served mechanical apprenticeship.
- Mechanical fitting experience.
- Able to read P&ID (piping and instrumentation diagram) schematics and assembly drawings.
- Experienced manufacturing background.
- Supportive Team worker.
- Experience of small-bore pipe bending.
- Experience of working with high pressure liquid and gas systems.
- Working with an ERP system.
- Environmental awareness.
- COMPEX knowledge.
- ATEX/DSEAR Awareness
