About the Job –
  • Design and develop high-vacuum and ultra high-vacuum systems.
  • Evaluate system performance and implement improvements.
  • Design cryogenic systems operating at liquid helium and liquid hydrogen temperatures.
  • Develop cryogenic piping, insulation and thermal?management solutions to maintain target temperatures.
  • Integrate cryogenic systems with vacuum environments, including cold traps and cryopumping.
About you –
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a PhD in a related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in vacuum-system engineering and design (flanges, gaskets, material selection).
  • 5+ years’ experience designing cryogenic systems below 50 K.
  • Strong knowledge of cryogenic engineering, thermodynamics and heat-transfer modelling.
  • Familiarity with vacuum standards and cryogenic safety best practices.
