Job Title – 33kV Cable Jointer
Their Purpose – Our client is a specialist utility infrastructure contractor delivering high-quality electrical network solutions across commercial, industrial, renewable energy, private network, and DNO connection projects, with a strong focus on safety, innovation, and operational excellence.
Location & flexibility – Walsall | Full-time, Permanent

About the Job –
• Install, pull, dress, and secure HV cables up to 33kV across private network and DNO connection projects.
• Assist with or carry out cable jointing, terminations, testing support, and pre-commissioning activities where authorised and trained.
• Interpret cable route drawings, schematics, and site plans to ensure accurate installation works.
• Support fault-finding, repairs, and ongoing maintenance of HV cable systems.
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and project teams while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
About You –
• Minimum 3 years' experience working on HV cable installation projects up to 33kV.
• Proven experience working on private electrical networks and/or DNO connection projects.
• Strong understanding of HV cable installation techniques, standards, and industry best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and site documentation.
• Strong health and safety awareness, with experience working in civils environments including trenching, ducting, and reinstatement works.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Desirable: Previous or current DNO authorisation, HV/LV jointing and termination competencies, NVQ in Electrical Power Engineering, CSCS/ECS Card, SHEA Power, First Aid, and Manual Handling certifications.
