Job Title – HV Cable Designer

Their Purpose 

A specialist engineering organisation delivering critical power infrastructure projects, supporting the design and development of high-voltage and extra-high-voltage cable systems across the energy sector.
Location & Flexibility 

Perth | Hybrid working arrangement with travel to site as required.
Salary & Benefits

Up to £60,000 per annum.
About the Job 
  • Design HV/EHV cable systems up to 132kV from concept through to detailed design.
  • Undertake cable sizing, thermal rating and ampacity calculations.
  • Complete bonding, earthing and induced-voltage studies.
  • Produce route feasibility studies, trench designs and installation methodologies.
  • Prepare specifications, drawings and technical reports, while coordinating with civil, primary and secondary engineering teams.
About You –
  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience using ELEK and/or CYMCAP software.
  • Proficient in GIS and AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
